I loved to see Joseph Girard III succeed at the next level.  The former Glens Fall standout had a great career with Syracuse and is now playing his final year of eligibility with Clemson as he entered the transfer portal last season.  He is having an awesome season and had a big night at North Carolina on Tuesday night and hit a dagger three pointer to seal a massive road win keeping the Tigers tournament hopes alive.  Below is my quick take on this from The Times Union:
Joseph Girard III can still shoot lights out even if it's for Clemson and not Syracuse this season. Watching JGIII drop 21 points at North Carolina on Tuesday reminded me of his days at Syracuse which was just last season and his days playing in Glens Falls. Girard can take over a game when he's draining three pointers and if Clemson makes the NCAA Tournament their win against the Tar Heels will be a big reason why. Girard and Clemson will play at Syracuse on Saturday and here is hoping for a warm welcome back from Syracuse fans. That's probably wishful thinking because Orange fans is upset, he chose Clemson for his final year of college eligibility.

Clemson will surely be a bubble team from here on out.  They have to rally around JG3 and star big man PJ Hall.  The ACC Conference is weaker than usual this season and that hurts Clemson's resume but the win against UNC will help as a signature win.  I hope they finish strong and we can see JG3 in the NCAA Tournament for March Madness.
