The New York Knicks are struggling right now and I am hoping that the all star break will give them some momentum down the stretch of the regular season.  Unfortunately head coach Tom Thibodeau is at fault here too along with the players.  Here is my quick take on this from the Times Union:

If the New York Knicks don’t show some life in the second half of the season, than Head Coach Tom Thibodeau might have to go. It’s seems crazy that Thibs could lose his job a year after being named coach of the year in the NBA, but the Knicks are a mess and Thibs is losing the locker room. When that happens in the NBA, the coach usually gets fired. Winning more games is always a game changer, but with only 23 games left in the regular season, the Knicks have a lot of work to do.

MJ and I discussed the Knicks epic collapse against the Brooklyn Nets last Thursday morning on Big Board Sports.  The Knicks had a 28 point lead at one point and to lose that and ultimately lose the game is quite frankly pathetic.  Below is our full conversation on this.

It is truly unfortunate to see the Knicks sit at 25-34 at the all star break.  This team who exceeded expectations tremendously last season, is now out of a 10 team playoff system and are at the bottom of the pack in the Eastern Conference.

The Knicks back in action on Friday as they host the very good Miami Heat at Madison Square Garden.  If the Knicks continue to lose games then Thibodeau may be the scape goat and end up being fired by the end of the season.  I still have faith in Coach Thibs but it is getting harder to stick up for him.
