Is This Sunday’s Game A Must Win For The New York Giants?
The New York Giants looked absolutely horrible on Sunday night vs the Dallas Cowboys. They were the only NFL team to not score a point in week one which is concerning to say the least. They are in desperate need of a win at a bad Arizona Cardinals team on Sunday afternoon. Teams that start 0-2 have the odds stacked against them historically for not being able to make the playoffs. Below is my quick take on this from the Times Union:
It’s only Week-2 of the NFL season but it already feels like a must win game for the New York Giants at Arizona on Sunday. After getting embarrassed 40-0 by the Dallas Cowboys the Giants can't lose to the Cardinals and start the season 0-2. Quarterback Daniel Jones needs a bounce back game just like the whole team does and that includes Head Coach Brian Daboll. You should never overreact after one season opening loss that's always been the rule for me but be it won’t be overreacting if the Giants fall to 0-2. In that happens it will get late early.
If the Giants fall to 0-2 than the concern level raises even higher. The offensive line better improve and protect Daniel Jones because if not it will be another long afternoon for the Gmen. Darren Waller is healthy whi9ch is huge and DJ has to find him more in the open field. The defense also has to improve big time. I like the Giants to win and win big. Then the schedule gets really tough starting in week three.
