What do you remember about 1983? Some of the top television shows were Magnum P.I., Kate and Allie and Dallas. Do you recall going to see Star Wars Return of the Jedi, Tootsie or Flashdance in the theaters? 1983 was also a special time for music and now, 40 years later, one band is still going and heading to the New York State Fair.

2023 marks the 40th Anniversary of the release of one of the biggest Rock albums of 1983. You now have 2 occasions to celebrate the occasion and one is free!

On March 11, 1983 Quiet Riot released the Metal Health album featuring their cover of the Slade song 'Cum On Feel the Noize' and their original hit 'Metal Health'. By November of that year, the album made it to #1 on the Billboard 200 Chart, kicking 'Synchronicity' by The Police out of the top spot.

Today the New York State Fair announced that Quiet Riot will perform on the Chevy Court Stage on Thursday August 24th at 6pm. As with all the State Fair entertainment, this show is free with your admission to the fair.
