The former New Jersey Net Jason Kidd drained a clutch shot for the New York Knicks on Tuesday night.  Watch the former Net stick it to the new Brooklyn Nets.

This Brooklyn Nets vs. New York Knicks rivalry has some real potential.  The Knicks beat the Nets 100-97 on Tuesday night in a very entertaining game at the new Barclays Center.  Jason Kidd drained a clutch 3-pointer with 24.1 to play to put the Knicks up 100-97.  That turned out to be the final score after Gerald Wallace and Deron Williams missed game-tying attempts as the final seconds ticked away.

Carmelo Anthony poured in 45 points for the Knicks.  Jason Kidd was the second-highest scorer for the Knicks with 18 points and 6 assists.  Andray Blatche actually led the Nets in scoring with 23 points.  Deron Williams scored 18 points with 10 assists.  The Knicks avenged a 96-89 loss in overtime to the Nets on Nov. 26.  The season series is tied 1-1.  The next game between the Knicks and Nets in on Monday, Jan. 21.

The New York Knicks host Kobe Bryant and the struggling Los Angeles Lakers tomorrow night at 8:00pm.  The Lakers lost to the pitiful Cleveland Cavaliers 100-94 on Tuesday night.  The Cavs are only (5-17) this season.  The Lakers dip to (9-13).  Pregame coverage of the Los Angeles Lakers vs. the New York Knicks begins at 7:15pm ET on 104.5 The Team, ESPN Radio.
