Based on principle, you have to watch this video of a CFL player getting absolutely de-cleated.  The player that gets obliterated literally goes head-over-heels.

This is one of the biggest hits that I've ever seen.  Montreal Alouettes safety Kyries Hebert blocked Hamilton Tiger-Cats wide receiver Onrea Jones following an interception on Thursday night.  Montreal went on to win the game 31-29.

By the way, why does the NFL crack down on "defenseless receivers" getting hit when they're trying to catch a pass, but not penalize players for obliterating "defenseless receivers" following an interception?  It's something that the NFL is supposed to be implementing this season.

Look, I love the big hits.  I wouldn't want to see this huge hit in a CFL game be outlawed in the NFL just because an unsuspecting player didn't have his head on a swivel.  However, the NFL is being incredibly inconsistent if they crack down in one facet but, don't do anything in another strikingly similar facet.
