The handwriting was on the wall, a long suspension is coming for now former Red Sox manager Alex Cora. Just one day after the Houston Astros fired GM Jeff Luhnow and manager AJ Hinch following each getting a year's suspension, Alex Cora is no longer the manager of the Red Sox.

The "funny" part of this story is that the MLB hasn't even issued Cora's punishment yet but he's already out in Boston. It's clear that Cora's punishment will be severe and is coming since he's tied to both the Astros and Red Sox sign stealing scandals. However that will have no effect on the Red Sox now as they are free to begin the hunt to find Cora's replacement.
