Clay Buchholz last pitched for the Red Sox on June 16.  He has a 6-3 record with a 3.48 ERA in 14 starts this season.  Buchholz has only been able pitch 82.2 innings this season due to a back injury.  He believes that his 2011 season isn't finished yet though.

“That’s what I’ve been trying to do the whole time I’ve been doing this workout deal,” Buchholz said.  “I’m trying to prepare to be available in whatever role they want me to go out there and do.  I’m looking forward to getting back home and being able to start throwing.

“I’ll do whatever they want me to do,” Buchholz said.  “Obviously I’m a starting pitcher and I like to go out there and start games, setting up hitters and throwing six, seven or eight innings, but sometimes that might not be possible, considering the time that we have in the season.”
