If you’re the Yankees you can never have enough infielders, especially if the price is right. The Yankees landed veteran free agent infielder Neil Walker for only $5 million which means 21 year old Gleyber Torres will start the season in the minors.  Gleyber has struggled at the plate this spring following Tommy John surgery, and Walker is a perfect fit because he is a true second baseman. The only negative is Walker has a history with back injuries, but the Yankees have so much depth, they could withstand an injury to Walker. Yankees have all their infield bases covered.
