Figueroa: 2024 is the ‘Year of the Sacrifice’ for the New York Yankees [LISTEN]
During the offseason, the New York Yankees pushed their metaphorical chips to the center of the table for the 2024 season. They went all-in, and have seemed motivated to do whatever it takes to bring a championship back to The Bronx this year.
With the 2024 MLB Trade Deadline less than two weeks away, GM Brian Cashman has the chance to do that again, but will he?
The Yankees are one of baseball's better teams entering the season's second half, but every fan would acknowledge that the roster has a few holes that need filling. The team's bullpen has shown a lack of depth in recent weeks, and the lineup has gone from one of the deepest in the league, to one of the thinnest.

The team certainly has needs, but despite that, still appears poised for a playoff run if the proper tweaks are made. We keep asking ourselves this same question: how aggressive will Yankees' GM Brian Cashman be in pursuit of the right pieces for his $300 million puzzle?
