Scotia and Schenectady Will Be a Good One

Need something to do tonight? Look no further than a marquee boys' basketball matchup between Scotia and Schenectady.

This border battle will decide the Hilliard Memorial Tournament (7:30, Schenectady High). Scotia (6-0) is the darlings of the Capital Region, having captured the 2013-14 Class A, Section, State, and Federation titles. They went undefeated a year ago, and thus, haven't lost in more than a calendar year.

They also have arguably the area's best player in senior Joe Cremo. He had 29 points the tournament-opening win over Columbia.

Schenectady looks very good this year as well at 5-1. Their athleticism could be tough for Scotia to match.

This is one of the best matchups of the early season for sure.
