The Siena men's basketball team fell to 6-9 overall (3-3 in MAAC play) by virtue of a 12-point loss to Fairfield on Sunday at the Times Union Center.

The Stags came out and shot 53 percent for the game compared to the Saints 39 percent.

Marcus Gilbert led all scorers with 23 for Fairfield.

Siena got a game great offensively from its starting lineup, as four Saint starters were in double-figures. Evan Hymes had 18, Rob Poole had 17, Lavon Long had 14 and Javion Ogunyemi had 12. The issue was that Siena's bench scored just three points for the entire afternoon.

The Saints also had 15 turnovers.

Siena will play at Canisius next on Friday night.
