New Siena head basketball coach Jimmy Patsos is out on the recruiting trail trying to find some players to add to his Saints ballclub. The job of hiring some assistants is also ongoing.

On Thursday the Saints announced the hiring of 2 new members of that staff.

Luke D'Alessio will join Patsos from his staff at Loyola Maryland. The 2 worked together for 3 seasons at Loyola with D'Alessio helping Patsos in all aspects of the Maryland program including recruiting and player development. D'Alession has been a head coach before although his stops are not very recognizable. He was the head coach for a team in Ireland. He coached a team on the JUCO level and his longest stay was as a 10 year head coach at Division II. Bowie State, the team he led, made the Division II tournament 3 times and the final 4 once.

Also joining the staff is a recognizable name to Siena Saints basketball, Lucious Jordan. He was recently on the staff of James Madison. The Dukes won their 1st ever NCAA tournament game beating LIU Brooklyn. He was the director of operations for the Dukes. Jordan was a member of the UAlbany team that made the NCAA tournament for the 1st time back in 2006. The Danes lost that game to UConn. He also coached at Albany City Rocks AAU 16U team. Jordan also played a stint in the now defunct CBA with the Albany Patroons
