Sierra Leone finally got the big win for Chad Brown after he had been so close in so many big races too.  It is so good to see Chad get the big win this year because every race virtually Sierra Leone was favored and would get off to a good start and then tire out down the stretch.  Chad has won so many big races over the years and you could tell after the Breeder's Cup win, he was very happy.  Below is my quick take on this as seen in The Times Union:

Mechanicville trainer Chad Brown finally won the big one with Sierra Leone and it just so happened to be the biggest one of them all. Sierra Leon with several close loses including by a nose wins the Kentucky Derby won the biggest of them all on Saturday in the Breeders' Cup Classic. Chad has been patient with his extremely talented three-year-old knowing he was sitting on a big race, and it came in the Super Bowl of horse racing. Sierra Leon came from behind in the stretch and took a lead he wasn't giving back. It was a vintage performance on the dirt which Chad Brown knows best.

Next up will be the Kentucky Derby on the first Saturday in May.  Not long after that will be the 2025 Belmont Stakes at Saratoga Racecourse.  Chad Brown will have several more horses next year some new and some old.  Congratulations to him on the Breeders Cup win.
