Atlanta Hawks Mike Scott and Indiana Pacers George Hill got in what was thought to be a minor incident in the first half of Game 6 after getting tangled up under the basket.

However, the play ultimately ended with the two players shoving one another in the face. Immediately following the fracas, teammates rushed in. Pacers forward Paul George (who was on the bench at the time) was one of the players who came to his teammates rescue. What's the big problem?

According to NBA rules: “During an altercation, all players not participating in the game must remain in the immediate vicinity of their bench. Violators will be suspended, without pay, for a minimum of one game and fined up to $50,000.”

George was not actually involved in the break-up of the minor altercation, but certainly was in the vicinity of the scuffle.

NBA Commissioner Adam Silver, and Rod Thorn, the NBA’s head of discipline, have yet to decide on George and the Hill-Scott dust-up.  Expect a fine or suspensions to come this afternoon.
