The New York Yankees have drafted RHP James Kaprielian with the 16th overall pick. Kaprielian is a big guy at 6'3, and weighs in at around 190-200 pounds.

ESPN analyst Keith Law ranks him in the same spot on his list of the top prospects.
“You’re talking about a front-line, Pac-12 starting pitcher who has a strong history of success in the league,” Savage said of the 6-foot-4, 200-pound right-hander. “You’re talking about a sought-after guy who is pretty complete.”

According to scouts, Kaprielian's best pitch is a 60-grade changeup along with a solid 55-grade slider. He also has a 50-fastball and 50-curve as a fourth pitch, while grading out with 55-control.

Many believe the Yankees liked him so much because, he's a pitcher that will be able to get to the bigs fast.
