The University of Albany Men's Basketball team has been on pause since Tuesday, January 26th which means they can come to resume basketball activities as soon as Thursday, February 4th. In the interest of athlete safety that means this weekend's games against U Mass Lowell will be pushed back to next weekend. If all these moving pieces are confusing and frustrating to you and I, can you imagine what the team must be going through?  Head Coach Will Brown said the plan is to keep the players active.

Will Brown said that everything from film sessions to the strength and conditioning coach being forced to be creative with quarantine-friendly workouts are steps to keep all the players heading in the right direction. So even though everyone is in lockdown and missing games, Zoom meetings and workouts are getting them by. It's both sad and good that UAlbany had to deal with quarantine already so this isn't a shock to their systems.

The America East conference has decided to include all ten teams in the America East Championship Tournament which is a first. Coach Brown feels getting and keeping Junior Guard Cameron Healy healthy and ready to play will be the key to successful play in the tournament. Listen to Coach Will Brown's full interview below.
