In twenty four hours the UAlbany Great Danes men's lacrosse will host the Maryland Terrapins at Casey Stadium. The Coach Scott Marr led Great Danes will take the field Wednesday with a nine game winning streak and their highest national ranking of the season. (#6 in the USILA Coaches Poll, #5 in the Inside Lacrosse media poll). The third ranked Terrapins will take the field in the capital region ranked third in the country. Maryland's national ranking is the highest for any team to play on the road against UAlbany in program history. The previous record was in 2011 when UMass traveled to take on UAlbany as the fifth highest ranked team in the country. The Great Danes enter Thursday's match up with the highest points per game scorer in the country in Connor Fields. Maryland has reached the national title game four times in the last six years. If UAlbany can pull out the victory, both Levack and Goz have promised to sport mohawk hairs in similar fashion to the UAlbany sophomore class.. Face off is set for 4pm.
