Just 72 hours ago the Union Dutchmen captured the school’s first national championship in a 7-4 victory against Minnesota.

The team hasn't even had a chance to enjoy there victory parade yet, and already a lot has happened for Union's Senior Mat Bodie, and NCAA MVP Shayne Gostisbeher.

The Dutchmen's captain Mat Bodie a unsigned draft pick signed a contract with the New York Rangers today. Bodie has said he will finish his final year at Union to earn his degree before joining the team.

Junior Shayne Gostisbeher had an amazing year earning All-ECAC Hockey First Team, and Most Outstanding Player of the 2014 Frozen Four. The junior also signed a NHL entry-level contract with the Philadelphia Flyers. He leaves this week to join the Adirondack Phantoms, and will train with the Philadelphia Flyers as they prepare for the NHL playoffs.
