VCU Final Four

VCU makes an improbable run to the Final Four. The Rams should've made a run to the NIT.

The VCU Rams have been the top story of the NCAA Tournament this year.  They've made a great postseason run.  You still have to be able to separate the regular season from the postseason.

Let's use the Seattle Seahawks for instance.  The Seahawks won the NFC West last season although they were only 7-9.  They got into the playoffs and beat the defending champion New Orleans Saints.  That playoff win didn't change the Seahawks' horrible regular-season record.  Nothing changed.

It's the same thing with VCU.  The Rams had a resume that wasn't worthy of grabbing one of the 37 at-large bids.  An impressive postseason run doesn't change their regular season resume at all.
