Where Does Inside Lacrosse Rank This Year’s UAlbany Team?

Despite qualifying for the program's first Final Four appearance last season, the UAlbany Great Danes did not garner much respect in the Inside Lacrosse preseason rankings. ESPN's Quint Kessenich posted his top twenty and he listed the Great Danes as number twenty. Kessenich said this about the 2019 Great Danes.

A slight nod to the Dane Train here ahead of a Princeton team that ended 2018 on a roll. Albany will face stiffer competition in its league, no doubt, and it will find that competing without TD Ierlan, Kyle McClancy, Connor Fields, Troy and Justin Reh to be challenging at first. Tehoka Nanticoke, Alex Burgmaster, Sean Eccles and Jakob Patterson are now surrounded by a more youthful ensemble.

The 2019 UAlbany Great Danes lacrosse season starts in the Carrier Dome Saturday, February 16th against Syracuse, Faceoff is set for 7:00 pm.
