Will The New York Jets Sign Running Back Dalvin Cook?
The New York Jets are in win now mode obviously. They bring in Aaron Rodgers to be their quarterback and sign other players such as wide receiver Allen Lazard. There are still some running backs available on the market including Ezekiel Elliot and Dalvin Cook. The Jets should be very aggressive in pursuing Cook. Having him and Aaron Rodgers on the same team would be deadly. Cook is a top five running back in this league when he is healthy and is coming off of one of his best seasons as a pro in 2022 with the Minnesota Vikings. General Manager Joe Douglas and head coach Robert Saleh should be all over this. Below is my quick take on this from the Times Union:
The Jets should finish the off season with a bang, and sign running back Dalvin Cook before training camp officially opens. Breece Hall is coming back from a torn ACL and is a question mark, and Cook is one of the best running backs in the NFL. The Jets stole the headlines when they acquired quarterback Aaron Rodgers, so why not make one slash before the new season kicks off?
MJ and I discussed the Jets getting Dalvin Cook yesterday morning right here on Big Board Sports. Below is our full conversation on this.
I hope the New York Jets are in the thick of things in the AFC and I expect that they will be. If you add a superstar caliber player like Dalvin Cook to your roster you immediately become an even more serious Super Bowl contender if you are the New York Jets.
