Woody Johnson’s Letter To Fans

Just hours after Jets owner Woody Johnson announced to his team that Rex Ryan would return, Johnson sent out a letter to his season ticket holders.

"Rex has more passion than anyone I have ever met," said Johnson, in the letter. "Passion for the Jets. Passion for teaching and motivating his players and coaches. Passion for winning."

The biggest unknown was whether or not first year General Manager John Idzik would feel comfortable in Ryan returning or succumb to the idea of hiring his own guy. Johnson addressed that in the letter:

"We're confident that, with the leadership of General Manager John Idzik, working cloesly with Rex, we will enter 2014 with great opportunities to improve."
