The Twins sent 20-year old left-hander Miguel Sulbaran in return. His minor league career includes 45 starts with both the Dodgers and Twins. He combined last year with a 2.96 ERA, going 9-4.

If the Yankees wouldn't have traded Nunez, he would've likely not made it through waivers, meaning at least the Bronx Bombers got someone out of the deal.

It came down to Nunez not being as versatile as utility infielder Yangervis Solarte who can, and has, been plugged in at multiple spots so far this season. Not to mention, Solarte is batting a team-high .471, going 8-for-17 at the plate.
