Why Alex Rodriguez was even up for comeback player of the year might be the most confusing part about all of this.  First the MLB season is only half way thru, and secondly he's coming back from a PED suspension not an injury.

After A-Rod failed to win an ESPY Award for Best Comeback Athlete, as it went to Rob Gronkowski of the Patriots. Him and his handlers thought it would be a good idea to do a skit mocking everything he has been saying " sorry for"  in the last 6 months. The premise of the skit was: Ken Jeong (The Hangover) was acting as A-Rod's "spokesman"  for apologizing. The running joke was, that A-Rod was responsible for everything wrong in the world, “I’m sorry that Jon Snow died on the season finale of ‘Game of Thrones,’ and I'm sorry that I just spoiled that for some of you,” Jeong said. He went on to apologize for: the water shortage in California, the economic, to Knicks season ticket holders, for his inability to grow body hair.

The only thing that he didn't apologise for is actually using Performance Enhancing Drugs, the one thing that shamed the Yankees, and Major League Baseball.

This was a bad look for A-Rod, not only was the skit drawn out like Ken Jeong's comedy, but it put a bad taste back in peoples mouth, and shows that A-Rod still doesn't get it. Doing a skit is all well, but when it mocks your past that the MLB, and the Yankees are trying to put behind them it shows disrespect.
