Man, it feels weird not talking to the Blue Jays organization about Jeff Hoffman, but that's the position we are in now.

After being traded from Toronto to Colorado in the Troy Tulowitzki-Jose Reyes trade, Hoffman made his first start for the AA New Britain Rock Cats on Sunday.

He went 4.2 innings, walking none and striking out six. He allowed two runs. We brought in Rock Cats broadcaster Jeff Dooley to break down his performance.

We asked him how he looked, and Dooley said it was easy to see why Hoffman was the centerpiece of the deal for the Rockies.

Furthermore, Dooley serves as the broadcaster for Hartford men's basketball. Thus, he's very familiar with UAlbany and the America East. We asked him about the Peter Hooley story and if an America East is getting closer to winning another NCAA tournament game. It hasn't happened since Vermont beat Syracuse in the early 2000s.
