New York Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony dropped the hammer on Los Angeles Lakers forward Jordan Hill on Thursday night.

The New York Knicks were able to outlast the Los Angeles Lakers on Thursday night 116-107.  The Knicks were able to score 41 points in the 1st quarter.  Carmelo Anthony was able to help ignite the Knicks with an aggressive dunk over Jordan Hill.  Anthony used a nice hesitation move to get by Metta World Peace en route to finishing with authority over Hill.

The Lakers outscored the Knicks by 10 points in the 2nd half, but New York was able to absorb the run thanks to their 68-49 halftime lead.  Carmelo Anthony was knocked out of the game midway through the 3rd quarter after landing awkwardly on his left ankle.  His knee twisted oddly as well.  The injury looked much worse than it turned out to be.  Carmelo isn’t expected to miss much time due to the injury.
