A player who is recovering from major ACL surgery and doesn't have four NBA league MVP awards or two NBA titles and isn't the most complete player in the NBA probably isn't the best player in the NBA.   Nor should he ever say he is the best.

Don't tell Derrick Rose that.

The Bulls star point guard recently told CNN:  "Derrick Rose," when asked by CNN's Pedro Pinto in an interview who the best player in the NBA is right now.

Rose said that LeBron James, however, is the toughest player to guard in the league. Perhaps Rose should have stated that LeBron is also the best player in the league. After all, King James has two NBA titles, four MVP awards, is the best transition player in the league, the best passer in the league and is most of the time the best finisher in the league.  He is also the toughest match-up against any team.

Derrick Rose needs to close his mouth and just worry about getting on the floor healthy.

He has a lot of work to do before he takes that crown away from King James.
