The Siena Saints nearly squandered an 18-point second half lead, but Evan Hymes lay-up with six seconds left broke a 64-64 tie and gave Siena a big 66-64 win on the road at Marist.

The win keeps Siena in the thick of the MAAC playoff picture at 7-8 in the league. The Saints are a half-game out of fifth place in the league, which is significant because the top five teams get a bye in the MAAC tournament.

Hymes finished the game with nine points while Siena was led by 15 from Rob Poole and Marquis Wright.

Siena will play at home on Saturday night against Monmouth (7 p.m.).
