The weather was a mess on Saturday in the nation's capital, but that mess was nothing compared to the mess created by the Washington Nationals in their handling of the situation. To set the scene, the game between the Nationals and New York Mets had been suspended due to rain, and as minutes turned to hours, little clarity was being offered by the team on the status of the rain delay.

Then, nearly four hours after the game was first delayed, an announcement was made that infuriated fans, and led three notable Mets' broadcasters to sound-off on the opposition.

New York Broadcast Trio Voices Dismay Toward Nationals' Rain Delay Handling

Following the announcement that the Mets-Nationals game on Saturday had been postponed, and would be completed on Sunday, the New York Mets' broadcast trio had their chance to voice their displeasure about the handling of the weather that night.

The game would be re-started on Sunday as part of a split-admission doubleheader, and naturally, the Mets would come up on the losing end. It was a fittingly disappointing end to a game that was handled horribly by the home team, and the Mets' broadcasters were completely justified in their response to the game's postponement.
