LeBron James Sings “Super Freak” For Charity [VIDEO]
LeBron James actually does a very respectable job rockin' out a rendition of the Rick James hit "Super Freak."
Most of the time when athletes attempt to do renditions of songs, it all goes horribly wrong. LeBron James actually does a pretty good job with this Rick James song though. LeBron even rocked out a wig during his routine.
LeBron's teammate, Shane Battier, hosted a charity event called "South Beach Battioke." Get it? Battier. Battioke. I dig the title, Shane. Nice touch, bud. The event was in Miami Beach at the Eden Roc Renaissance Hotel. Heat President Pat Riley also sang a song during "South Beach Battioke." Riley performed "My Girl" by the Temptations.
On a side note, while I'm thinking about music, there is something that I have to address. During my first ever visit to the Times Union Center in Albany, NY, I glanced up to the rafters and saw a banner for Billy Joel. Really? Look, nothing against Billy Joel. The guy is a very good musician and entertainer, but does he really deserve a banner. Plus, it's one of the only banners in the rafters. It looks so odd when you're watching a sporting event and you see the Billy Joel banner. Maybe it's just me, but the standards have to be a little higher, Capital Region. Seriously.
