Pitchers in their prime or when they first come up gather crowds to stadiums and increase ratings on television sets like no tomorrow.  Think Dwight Gooden, Felix Hernandez, Fernando Valenzuela, Johan Santana, Roy Halladay, Justin Verlander, Stephen Strasburg.  Add Matt Harvey to the list.

The kid has it all, really.  The fastball, slider, change-up trio, the inner edge of the plate, the outer third of the plate, the focus, the drive, the look, the build, the mechanics, the urge for the spotlight.  Matt Harvey is the real deal.  Five-tool player gets thrown around a lot in baseball; field-run-throw-hit-hit for power.  How about a 10-tool pitcher?  That's Harvey.

Watch Matt Harvey.  He is the only reason to watch the Mets right now.  And he may quickly become the face of the franchise (sorry, David Wright, new is in) and one of the new pitching faces of baseball.  Matt Harvey is must-see.
