Notre Dame 83, UCONN 75 OT

It took overtime, but the Fighting Irish of Notre Dame were able to get past Big East giant UConn.  Skylar Diggins put up 19 points in the win for the Irish, and some clutch shooting from Brittany Mallory propelled Notre Dame past the Huskies.  Last season Notre Dame beat UConn in the semi finals, but lost in the title game against Texas A&M.  2012 could mean redemption.

Baylor 59, Stanford 47

Despite just being 3-9 from the field, Brittney Griner was still able to distract Stanford.   They put the focus on her, which allowed the other women of Baylor to step up and take action.  Thanks to some work from the free throw line, Griner notched 13 points.  Baylor improves to 39-0, and are going for that historic undefeated season on Tuesday night.  They proved that they are more than just Brittney Griner, which should make Notre Dame very nervous.
