Peter Hooley Offers Support For Michigan Punter

The Michigan State vs. Michigan ending on Saturday was among the most crazy endings that I've ever seen in sports.

Leading 23-21 with 10 seconds to play, Michigan was punting to the Spartans on fourth down.

All Michigan needed to was get the punt off, tackle the return man as time expired -- or defend one Hail Mary with hardly any time left.

Instead, this happened...

You have to feel bad for Michigan punter Blake O'Neill, who received inappropriate threats and comments on Twitter after the game... a game in which he also booted an 80-yard punt.

He was just trying to make the best of the situation, and remember, the snap was low...

O'Neill hails from Australia and caught the support of several people on social media, including fellow Australian and UAlbany basketball star Peter Hooley.

That's a true act of class from Hooley, who helped social media rise above the threats that were issued to O'Neill.
