On the same day that the NCAA Tournament bracket was released, we also apparently learn where the UAlbany Great Danes are going to be playing their postseason basketball:

UAlbany failed to earn an NCAA Tournament berth after falling in the America East quarterfinals against Hartford. Will Brown's team had won three straight A-East titles.

The Danes will enter the CBI with a 24-8 record after earning the No. 2 seed in the America East. It's disappointing to see UAlbany not get a home game in the tournament but it makes sense considering the campus is on spring break so attendance would likely be sparse.

It will be the last games in the careers of Peter Hooley, Evan Singletary and Ray Sanders. Hooley was a part of all three conference title teams while Singletary and Sanders spent two years with the programs after transferring in from junior college.

We will keep you posted as we learn the UAlbany opponent.
