The Toronto Blue Jays were one of the top teams in the MLB last season. Now their field will be brand new and a little different from what we are normally used to.

Toronto's Rogers Centre is undergoing renovations for a new field. Today, construction crews broke ground on the new field inside the stadium that will feature and all-dirt infield which would replace the patches of dirt surrounding each base. This would immediately make the playing surface safer for players who now won't have transition from turf to dirt when on the base paths.

This also presents the opportunity for a grass field in the future now that the Toronto Argonauts moved to a nearby stadium. The team will keep the turf in the center of the infield and the outfield.

Do you think this could effect the Blue Jays early on in the season? And what do you think of the changes?
