Siena got 20 points and 13 rebounds from Brett Bisping in a 61-49 win over Illinois State in the semifinals of the College Basketball Invitational (CBI).

The win propels the Saints to 18-16 overall and sets up the championship between Siena and Fresno State.

The CBI uses a best-of-three series to determine its champion. Game one is Monday at Fresno State, while the Saints will host game two at the Times Union Center on Wednesday. Game three is TBD if needed.

Siena’s defense has been key in this CBI run. The Saints are allowing just 52 points per game and are 9-0 this season when holding opponents to 59 or fewer.

This is the first national postseason championship opportunity for Siena.
