Siena Women’s Hoops Team Announces Non-Conference Slate

Siena Saints coach Ali Jaques hopes her team will be ready for conference play when it starts up in late December. To that end the 2nd year head coach has scheduled a pretty good non-conference schedule to get her team ready.

The Saints will play 9 non-conference games before the MAAC season begins play.

The highlight is usually the battle with UAlbany. Again it will be part of a double header that takes place Friday, November 8th. The Saints will tangle with the Great Danes at 5 PM, followed by the battle of the boys from both schools at 7pm.

The non-conference schedule for the Saints includes 4 teams that played in post season tournaments. 3 played in the NCAA"s and 1 advanced deep into the WNIT.

8 of the opponents have been named and they combined for a 150-101 record last season.

Other teams that appear on the non MAAC schedule this season include Fairleigh Dickinson. The Saints won this meeting last year by 20 points. The Saints will next compete in the TD Bank Classic, on the campus of the University of Vermont on November 22nd and 23rd. They will tangle with the University of Wisconsin Green Bay.

Other opponents on the non conference schedule include Maryland University, Sacred Heart, Binghamton, and Buffalo University.
