UAlbany Fans Should Be Fans of Purdue

If you are a UAlbany basketball fan, you should also be a fan of Purdue coach Matt Painter.

Painter is supporting Niemann-Pick Type C research in the Infiniti Coaches' Challenge. The Coaches' Challenge features four collegiate coaches (Painter, Iowa State's Fred Hoiberg, Wichita State's Gregg Marshall, and Michigan's John Beilein), all vying for a $100,000 donation to a cause of their choice.

Niemann-Pick Type C is the same disease that affects JP Honsinger, the local 11-year-old that has become a part of this storybook UAlbany basketball season.
