UAlbany Women Picked No. 1 in Preseason Poll
After three consecutive America East championships, the UAlbany women's basketball team has been picked to win the conference yet again.
The Great Danes were a unanimous No. 1 selection in the preseason coaches coll, garnering 64 total points, 13 ahead of second-place Stony Brook.
This is the second straight year UAlbany is a unanimous decision.
In addition, Danes star Shereesha Richards was picked to the preseason all-conference team. She scored 20.0 points per game a season ago.
UAlbany opens its season on Nov. 14 against St. Francis of Brooklyn.
