The Sacramento Kings unfortunately fell short this season losing in the first round of the NBA playoffs to the Golden State Warriors.  However they did snap a 17 year playoff appearance drought and their arena was rocking all season long.  The lighting the beam after a win at home is really awesome and the Kings showed that they are legit and will be very good for future years to come.  I do believe this season was a success as they exceeded virtually everyone's expectations, including mine.  Shen and Maryland product Kevin Huerter was a major part of the Kings success all season long.  Kev got to compete in the NBA three point competition and although he struggled shooting during that and throughout the playoff series vs the Warriors, he played his role so well in other ways as he defended, rebounded, and assisted at a very high level.

MJ and I were joined by our guy Matt George who covers the Kings for ABC 10 in Sacramento earlier this morning right here on Big Board Sports.  Matt has been with us all season long and agreed with both of us that this season was a success and was really fun for him to cover.  Below is our full conversation with him.

It is onto the offseason for Huerter and the Kings as they look to improve and build for next season.  You hope next season if you are head coach Mike Brown and the Kings that they win a playoff series and can be even better than this season.  The future is bright in Sacramento.
