Yankees Are a Year Ahead of Schedule
Don’t look now Yankee fans but the Baby Bombers own a 21-10 record. Are the Yankees still a year away from being contenders to win the AL East? Maybe not. They might have arrived a year earlier than expected, especially after watching Aaron Judge tear it up in the first month of the season. Outside of CC Sabathia, who has struggled, starting pitching has been better than originally thought. The Yankees look like a team that’s not going away anytime soon.
New York will get plenty of competition from the Baltimore Orioles and the Boston Red Sox will still have something to say about the division title, but simply contending for a wild card spot is no longer the ceiling for the 2017 Yankees.
