Yankees Sign Pitcher Jose De Paula

The New York Yankees on Wednesday signed left-handed pitcher Jose De Paula to a one-year contract. The 26-year old De Paula has yet to throw a pitch in the major leagues.

He has been in the minor leagues for  seven seasons, and made 16 appearances  for the San Francisco Giants' Triple-A affiliate in Fresno, going 4-3 with a 4.21 ERA.
