ESPN's Ian O'Connor joined Colin Cowherd Monday morning on 104.5 The Team with a list of candidates that the Knicks could go after. Obviously, the favorite is Steve Kerr.

"My suspicion is that Steve Kerr will be the head coach, as has been reported," said O'Connor. "I would be surprised if Phil Jackson went to a plan B."

So who would be the Plan B?

"Certainly Derek Fisher has been mentioned as a possibility. Brian Shaw, if he's freed up from his contract. I would wait and see if Mark Jackson is fired in Golden State.

"Somehow, does Tom Thibodeau get himself liberated from the three years left on his contract? I would like to talk to Jeff Van Gundy as well because he's proven he can win in New York in a very difficult work environment."
