The Red Sox finished at the bottom of the division with 84 losses this season, but ESPN’s Buster Olney says that Yankee fans should be prepared for a new-look Boston team in 2016.

"You have to admit, the last two months if you’re in the Red Sox shoes, you’re feeling good," said Olney, to "Armen and Levack", on 104.5 The Team. "Xander Bogaerts is now fully established at shortstop. They had a really good year out of Mookie Betts. Jackie Bradley Jr. took a big step forward, Rick Porcello moved closer to a number three type starter. They’re catching position is going to be better.

"They clearly need a number one and they’re going to be out there on some of these top free agents. If they fix their bullpen, that’s a really interesting team going into next year."

With the Yankees set to have another boring and uneventful free agency period, there’s a good chance the Red Sox could surpass the pinstripes next season.

And yes, Levack is currently throwing things at me.
