Javier Baez and maybe some other New York Mets have decided to take on the fans. According to an article in the New York Daily News by Deesha Thosar, Mr. Baez feels justified in taking on the New York Mets fans, “When we don’t get success, we’re going to get booed,” Baez said. “So they’re going to get booed when we get success.” Hmmm, game on.

In 66 at bats as a New York Met, Baez has struck out 22 times. One third of the time he doesn't even hit the ball and he thinks he's star? OH, in fact, he leads Major League Baseball in striking out and not giving his teammates a chance! You get a big thumbs down Mr. Baez.

This is an awesome photo of how far Baez missed a pitch by. I do not claim that I would do better but I am not being paid $11.6 million per year.

Hitting is one thing but stars make their teammates better. Stars are winners. The Mets were in first place the day that Baez was acquired. Now his new team is 7.5 games out of first place. I don't care how great you think you are but if you team is in first place when they trade for you and then within 3 weeks you are like a cement block around their neck in the ocean and you drag them to third place, you should be classified as a loser, Javier Baez. You get another big thumbs down.

New Yorkers should be offended at Javier Baez's actions and should continue to boo him for the the rest of his days in a Mets uniform and beyond. When you are paid millions of dollars to play for a franchise and within weeks you turn on the fans, you are no longer welcome in the Big Apple. Francisco Lindor participated in some type of an on field collaboration celebration with Baez after the game. That will cost him with Mets fans and he had better have a nice apology prepared.

Players like Javier Baez are very talented. But, if they really want to take a shot at New York baseball fans, then they had better plan on playing somewhere else. Sunday August 29, 2021 officially was the beginning of the end of Javier Baez's career in Flushing, Queens. Get those boos ready for #23. Let's Go Mets!
