Can The Hawks and Nets Both Win Home Playoff Games This Weekend?
The NBA playoffs have been nothing short of awesome so far. Every series has been competitive and all of these teams are stepping up tremendously when the pressure is on. The atmospheres have been terrific and so has the level of play. I truly feel like this could be the most wide open the NBA playoffs have ever been. There are many teams that usually aren't in the playoffs and also many players who don't have much playoff experience playing out of their minds. Now we love to go local here on Big Board Sports and the two teams we care about most locally are the Brooklyn Nets and the Atlanta Hawks. However, we have been showing the Boston Celtics more love.
Both the Hawks and the Nets head home being down 2-0. The Hawks and our guy Kevin Huerter are having a very difficult time against the number one overall seed Miami Heat. Miami under Erik Spoelstra defends really well and can score in bunches quite often. Atlanta has struggled to defend them and Kevin has gotten into some early foul trouble both games. I do like Atlanta to win tonight over the Heat and make this a 2-1 series.
As far as the Nets are concerned, I don't like their chances. The Celtics are way more physical and efficient than them. Ime Udoka is flat out beating Steve Nash in the coaching department. The Celtics are shutting down Kevin Durant and making him look human which is hard to do. I like the Nets to win at least one game at the Barclays Center but ultimately lose the series.
Below are both mine and MJ's quick predicitions on these weekend games before I left early this morning.
While I think both the Hawks and Nets will lose their respective series, I wish them nothing but the best.
