Citi Field was the place to be in New York sports last night, and there wasn't even a game being played on the field.

There was, however, a game that was played on the 17,400 square-foot scoreboard in center field. The New York Mets played the Milwaukee Brewers in Game 3 of their National League Wild Card series on Thursday night, and the Mets organized a watch party at their home stadium for their anxious fanbase.

The Mets were on the brink of elimination in the ninth inning, when Pete Alonso stepped to the plate with runners on-base.

Alonso connected on a pitch from Brewers' closer Devin Williams, sending it over the right field fence for a three-run home run.

In that moment, the crowd at American Family Field was silent. Back in Queens, however,, the crowd was anything but silent. Check out some of these "Amazin'" videos, taken from around Citi Field after the Alonso home run:

How can you NOT get chills watching these videos? It's a well-deserved moment of celebration for fans of the New York Mets, as the team came back from the brink of disaster once again.

There is little rest for the weary, however, as New York will get set to face divisional rival Philadelphia in the National League Division Series. First pitch for Game 1 is set for 4:08PM on Saturday, October 5th.
