Dick Vitale’s Most Unforgettable Moment of National Championship Game [AUDIO]
There were many unforgettable moments from Monday night’s National Championship game. Dick Vitale, calling the game court-side, told 104.5 The Team his favorite moment.
“Coach K doesn’t like to call time outs, but he calls a TO baby and Grayson Allen, a star was born right in front of our eyes,” said Vitale, with Armen and Levack on Monday evening. “That kid is going to be a star at Duke!
“He put on an incredible show! Really! I thought he carried the club when they got into the game. Then it was the Tyus Jones show. Tyus was absolutely exceptional in the second half. 19 points, what a job he did. In fact, all of the freshmen scored every point in the second half, 37 points!
“I’ll tell you one thing, the intensity and emotion was unbelievable. I’ll never forget one of the key sequences of the game, 48-39 duke is down nine, Okafor in foul trouble, Winslow in foul trouble, they’re on the ropes.”
Armen and Levack are on 104.5 The Team every weekday from 3-7p ET on your home for New York Sports.
