Harvey Off to Hot Start, But Still A Long Way to Go
Monday’s Spring Training start for Matt Harvey can be described as encouraging, but there is a long way to go for the once ace of the Mets staff. Harvey allowed two hits, a walk and struck out one in a 48 pitch performance against the Detroit Tigers.
Harvey who missed 2 ½ month last season is trying to show the Mets that he can contribute in 2018. New manager Mickey Callaway says he likes what he sees so far from Harvey, but it’s still very early, and we all know the injury history of Harvey, and it’s not good.
Matt Harvey signed a 1-year/5.6 million dollar contract with the Mets in the offseason. The contract is fully guaranteed.
